I liked this one quite a bit more than the last, but I'm beginning to feel like we are going in circles.   We know next to nothing about Alexander.  I'm hoping we are on the brink of something big, but I'm not sure how many more books that author can drag out of this.  I want something concrete and I want to know if he intends to chance Raven or not.  She's perfectly willing and she fits right in.  I want to know what's holding him back because he never explains anything.   Besides all that, the story was fun.  I think we get to see a lighter side of Raven.  She plans a party, plays matchmaker, and torments her nemesis some more.  I like Sebastian.  He's fun and gets himself into a trouble quite a bit.  Always interesting to see another vampire added to the story.  I liked the ending and look forward to the next book in the series!

I Give This book 3.5 Stars

This book was a little bit of a let down after book 5, although I still enjoyed it.  Raven finally gets to meet the elusive vampire parents.  They are everything I expect and don't expect them to be.  It seemed such a typical teen reaction book.  The parents do something drastic and so in return Raven and Alexander  overreact.  I did think both scenes of the two sets of parents having dinner together were great.  Also, enjoyed watching Alexander get to showcase his art.  Although this book does raise a question for me (surprised I haven't thought about it before).  Do vampires age for awhile and then stop?  In this series, vampires can be born and "grow up", but I don't think they die.  So, at what point to they stop aging?  Confusing for me really...

I Give This Book 4 Stars!

This one is by far my favorite of the series.  At first, I was afraid it might be a repeat of things that have already happened since it once again seemed to involve Jasper.   Plus, so much of the book takes place at The Coffin Club, which we get a glimpse of in book 2.  But, this one packed a lot more punch than previous books.  First, Raven gets a much closer look into the vampire world than she has before.  She even make some new friends.  It was nice to see her finally fit in somewhere.  It also had a bit of mystery too it.   Of course, Raven can stay out of things.  Even if it's a matter of life or death she doesn't realize the danger she puts herself in (like a vampire blood vote!).  I also enjoyed the twist that came at the end.  It explained so much that happened throughout the story!

I Give This Book 4 Stars!

I am so glad this series is getting better.  I had my doubts after the first two.  I have figure out two of my issues with this series though.  First, I think some of the books could be combined.  They function all right by themselves, but they are to connected (not to mention short).  Second, I have no problem with Raven being Goth.  But, for some reason it seems so cliché.  I kind of just ignore that, but I do not feel it really adds to the story.   This story I think was more fun.  I liked seeing Raven get excited about something that it is so "high school".  Of course, she did it her own way!  I also thought it was fun watching Raven and Alexander way over react to Valentine.  I don't think he was all bad, more just really lost.  I also love how it seems Billy and Raven are finally starting to form an actual relationship.  I also liked how Raven finally admitted that maybe she was not quite ready to be a vampire.  I think it made her character have more depth.  It also put some substance into her and Alexander's relationship!

I Give This Book 4 Stars!

I feel like I'm being a little generous giving this 4 stars, but it was such a vast improvement over the first two in the series.  Raven stepped out of the one dimensional goth girl image for awhile in this book.  I was glad for that because for some reason it still bugs me that Raven has to be goth.  And the way it is described seems more a fashion statement than anything.  Anyway, I also feel I learned a little more about Alexander in this book.  He gains a little needed background.  It gives him strength as a character.  I also enjoyed what Jagger and Luna brought to the story.  Jagger was creepy and you never know exactly what he up too.  I couldn't figure out Luna either.  All together a better story that the first two book!

I Give This Book 3.5 Stars!

I have to be honest in saying if I would have bought this series I would have be extremely disappointed after the first couple books.  But, since I got these from the library, I don't feel as let down.  I'm not saying that this is the worst book I've ever read.  Because they are a quick and easy read.  I just don't feel anything for the characters.  I can't put my finger on what it is.  The characters lack depth.  I don't feel like I know much about them besides what is obvious.  I don't think the words Goth and Vampire are character descriptions.  I like the story line though.  I just wish the lead characters added more to the story.
