I was a little hesitant with reading this one.  The back and forth in the story was really starting to get to me.  Not to mention some of the choices that Ever has made along the way.  I had hope that the author could redeem the story little.

I was both right and wrong in that aspect.  Of course Ever still has some trust issues with Damen.  She's horrible at jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst.  I also don't really like her attitude towards her aunt.  I wonder if she realizes that she sounds a bit like Haven when she stars spotting off that her aunt doesn't know what's really going on and refuses to accepts things she's been told.  Damen was ok.  I wish he would stop hiding things from Ever because you know a lot of this heartache could be avoided.  Plus, its weird how he rushed to the defense of everyone else.  And Haven...wow.  I knew it was coming, but she's a really violent character.  I'm glad we have some resolution there, because I don't think I could have stood another book with the same theme.

I was so HAPPY to finally see some resolution with some story lines.  Ever finally choose, and I think it's a good choice and she fully understands what she's doing.  Plus, I think we have a better understanding of Damen and all their past lives together.  Damen was sugar coating a lot of it. 

I thought this book was ok, even though it had a lot of the things I was hoping might happen.  I'm also hoping that the next book in the series is the last.  There's not much left to do!

If you've made it this far in this series, I don't think you'll be surprised by any of the actions that take place except maybe the ending.  I was afraid it was going to be the same old things again.  Ever does spend most of the book acting as if she doesn't need anybodies help.  But, in the end she actually surprised me and acted completely unselfishly.  Although, I think if she would have told someone what she was doing instead of once again acting on her own the outcome could have been much different (but then again we likely wouldn't have two more books to look forward to).  

I do have to say that Haven drove me crazy in this book.  Her attitude reminded me a lot of when Drina was in the picture, but so much worse.  She's the obnoxious friend who thinks everyone is out to get her and she's always right.   I did think the twins get some closure in this one, but not really sure what their final purpose in the story might be.  I still love Damen, but I'm beginning to think he is way to forgiving.  I sometimes think Ever needs someone to put her in her place.

Overall, the events are interesting.  I don't think there's any firm closure on anything.  But, you can tell the story is reaching it's peek.  I'll be looking for the next one when the library gets it in (although I'm sure I will be the one to request it lol).

So, I really should have written my review when I read this book .  You notice I give it 4 stars, but that's because it's what I rated it on goodreads.  But, I made the mistake of reading some other reviews before I wrote my own.  And now, I've forgotten what I liked about it.  All I can see are the issues that others pointed out.  So, I'm tempted to go back and give it 3 stars.  I did like it.  The plot was interesting and suspenseful at times.  The introduction of Jude and why he was there  completely caught me off guard.  I know for sure that when I finished reading it the twins really annoyed me.  But, now all I can think of is the lack of development in Ever and Damon's relationship.  We seem to still be in the same place we were in book one.  I can't help but notice Ever's glaring faults.  Bad choice after bad choice do not make for an interesting series.  At some the main character has to evolve a little.  But, I will continue on.  But at this point in the series, I'm glad it's the library buying them and not me...

Yeah for a sequel that's better than the first book!  Now don't get me wrong, I liked Evermore.  The story in Blue Moon flows better.  The characters are more developed.  I especially enjoyed Eve's character and what she goes through in this books.    Having to choose between the one you love and your family would be hard on anybody.  I liked Damen more this time, but I hated watching what he did under the influence of others.  I will be reading book 3 when it's available!
